Beijer Alma’s  business concept is to acquire, own and develop small and mid-sized companies with favorable growth potential. Active, long-term strategic and development work – combined with investments and complementary corporate acquisitions – will provide competitive companies in selected market segments. In each segment, the Group’s companies focus on developing strong relationships with customers offering growth and profitability.

Important criteria for profitable growth of the companies are:

  • High customer value through products that are customized to suit specific customer requirements
  • International market coverage for the Group’s many niche products
  • High market share through quality, breadth of product range and customer adaptation
  • Diversified customer base that reduces dependency on individual markets or industries

Beijer Alma works on the basis of active and long-term ownership. The companies are not developed with the aim of a future exit. Instead, the goal is to own and develop successful companies with high growth and profitability, which shall be achieved by combining effective business models and business control with strong products, high quality, investments in manufacturing capacity and a focus on international sales.

Through investments and acquisitions, Beijer Alma has become a Group specialized in component production. The current business is focused on a number of industries, such as mobile telecom, the defense industry and the aftermarket for vehicles. The largest individual market is the aftermarket for vehicles, which in 2009 accounted for approximately 27 percent of the Group’s revenues. Beijer Alma is listed on the Mid Cap list of the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm (ticker: BEIAb)
